I have developed a module using Visual web developer 2008 Express edition and Sql server Express. Now I want to package this module without source code.
So can I package this module without source code using Visual web developer Express?
Thanks In Advance.

please be aware, there are two types of modules, templates are created for: Web Site Projects and Web Application Projects. only the second one can be compiled into a .dll (see http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Blogs/tabid/825/EntryId/2753/STLDoDN-Jumpstart-DotNetNuke-Module-Development.aspx). You need to convert you WSP into a WAP module.

There is a link below that describes the process of module packaging:
http://adefwebserver.com/dotnetnukehe...

And it is saying that It cannot be done using Visual web developer Express edition.
So my question is there any other way to package module without source code using visual web developer express or I nned to install Visual Studio.
Thanks in Advance.

WAP modules can be created with VWD Express version 2008 SP1 and above

Hi Sebastian,

I have gone through the above link that you have given, there process of creating a new web aplication project from scratch is explained.
But I have already developed one module in WSP module and also package with source code working fine.
Is there any simple way now to convert this to package without source code.
Thanks in Advance.
