Hi all....
I'm very much new to DNN.
The problem i'm facing is:
My client has a DNN web application hosted in (say, 11.11.11.11). The SQL Server in on the same machine as that of the application.
It has a portal alias: 11.11.11.11     This appliation works well when browsed as http:11.11.11.11/ SomePage.aspx

Now i' downloaded all these files from 11.11.11.11  through ftp
I want to setup the same application locally, so that i can run it in VS and can debug.
But when i run it, the page that is loaded is http:11.11.11.11/ SomePage.aspx instead of http:localhost:1234/ SomePage.aspx
This may be because the db that i use in local is the one in server-11.11.11.11 with portal alias = 11.11.11.11
I changed this portal alias to localhost. But it does not run.

What should i do to setup this locally ???

enter the database, table portalalias and add an entry for the same portal with "localalias" instead of IP address.
