Ordinarily, you'd be at the right spot, but we've recently launched a brand new community website... For the community, by the community.

Yay... Take Me to the Community!

Welcome to the DNN Community Forums, your preferred source of online community support for all things related to DNN.

We're using DNN 4.9.5 for our Intranet. A few of our colleagues are visually impaired and they use software which tells them what's on the screen.

Our Intranet appears  to be unfriendly for this kind of software. The software is speaking all kinds of (background-)codes like 'ctr1259$SiteWideAnnouncements$ibPrevious' .

Does anyone have any tips on how to make our (DNN!) site more friendly for our visually impaired colleagues?

Right, DNN is using way to many JS links.

There are a few thing you can replace.

A. Action menus with this: http://dnnmoduleactions.codeplex.com/
B. The control panel with: http://oliverhine.com/DotNetNuke/Administration/AdvancedControlPanel.aspx (DNN 5 only)

But those a mainly the edit interface.

If you have other accessibility issues, feel free to contact me (contact form on my website).
I would like to get the opinion of someone with real life accessibility issues in DNN.

Timo
