I want to upgrade our six sites to 5.5.  As I read the forums is looks like the 5.5 upgrade issues revolve around the "default language".

Our sites are all exclusively English (US) sites running 5.4.x.  Is there something I can set to avoid the 5.5 upgrade issues I am reading about?

It's possible I am reading these all wrong, but I want to be proactive if there something I can do to avoid an upgrade issue with 5.5.

Thanks for the guidance always,

Dave

No upgrades on my side. All my 5.5 upgrades have been smooth and without issue. If you're using URLMaster, make sure to be on the latest release though.

I ordered the upgrade and for one of our sites this is what our hoster says.

There have been some known issues with sites upgraded to 5.5 that are running SSL. I have noticed that you are running SSL on this site so we do not recommend upgrading to 5.5 with it. If you would still like us to, we can make the attempt, however, we are not sure that it will be successful. Please let us know how you would like to proceed.

Just an FYI.

Besides, there are known issues with content localization, I suggest not to turn on this option in 5.5.0 on production sites.

Do you think any SSL issue will be cleared up with 5.5.1?

Thanks for your guidance.  We will wait on the one site.
