Hi

I am developing a site that will show a lot of advertising.  Is there a way to show block banners lined up in rows and columns?  Ideally, as many rows of 4 blocks as it takes to show all the ads.  There may be as many as 24 at a time.

Alternatively, if I were going to develop this myself can anyone offer an guidance before I start?

Thanks

Michael

Hi I haven't had a reply, but have made some progress on my own, so I'll document it here for anyone else with similar problems, although I would still appreciate any contributions that others can make. In the directory DesktopModules/admin/banners I changed 2 files: in displaybanners.aspx.vb I changed lstBanners.RepeatLayout = RepeatLayout.Table to lstBanners.RepeatLayout = RepeatLayout.Flow and in displaybanners.ascx added

<%# DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem,"bannername") %>

to give me a title below the banner. Now, whilst I am aware that throwing these straight up onto the server by ftp has some problems, it has worked and has given me the effect I need. And I am sure it will keep working until DNN make an upgrade that includes changes to these files. What I need now, obviously, is to work out the right way to package these changes, and this is where I would be most happy with assistance. Thankyou

you shouldn't modify core files, instead create a custom module with your modifications (use a custom namespace). This will preserver your changes on Upgrades on DNN.
