Thanks, it took a bit to trace this down but as usual, when something was obvious too often it's the hardest one to have located.

Timo,

Reading through your web page, I have to ask what is absolute positioning in a CSS?  I suppose I can look at the menu CSS and figure it out but if you have a moment, I'm really new to skinning so a pointer or 2 on what this is would help.

Thanks,

Mike

Timo,

Answered this one myself -- advertising here I guess how much of a VB or C# coder I am vs. a skinner :) he he.  Positioning is a simple CSS element.  However, please elaborate on why absolute is forced on the actions menu.  This makes no sense.  I'm no js expert either but would it not be simple to edit the js and also just not use absolute positioning?  Or would this create an issue with whatever else might be using that same js script?

Totally green on the advanced aspects of skinning here so I appreciate your help.

Mike

Well, it's more complicated then it seems.
I'm not the developer of the menu, but I did try to solve it, so did several others.
As you said it's also used by the regular menu.

All the solutions I have seen either it work in the actions menu or the regular menu, but not in both..

I decided to use the alternative on codeplex as it does not use JS for it's positioning.

We have a meeting scheduled with the team to discuss this so there might be some news soon.
(as we are convinced it should be solved)
