Hello,

I have a problem in the Media module, because when I add an image (. Png,. Jpg), and select the option "URL (A Link to an external resource)"
and "Open link in a new browser window?" this does not work, that is still open in the same window.
What is wrong (in the previous version of Media module to work)?

I'm using DNN 5.1.4 Professional and Media Module 3.3.0.

Best regards,
José

You probably knew I was going to suggest this, but you really should upgrade your DNN site to the latest version.  Besides a security fix, you also get an significant performance boost, and it's more stable.  The DNN 5 series wasn't too stable until version 5.2.x.

That being said, I just installed a test environment of DNN 05.01.04, with Media Module 03.03.00 on it.  I was able to duplicate your issue.  I did the same in version 05.05.00, and was once again able to duplicate the issue.

I have logged this as a bug in the project.  http://dnnmedia.codeplex.com/workitem...

FYI - Development has resumed on this module again.  This issue is already fixed in the build, but will not be available until all of the items in the scope of this version are also completed and released.

Hey will,

Been pulling the media module source code apart over the weekend - do you currently have a roadmap / timeline to a stable build - there seem to be a lot of nice new social features in the current builds - but also what seem to be a lot of partially implemented features at the moment.

Just trying to get a handle on some timelines to decide if I bite the bullet and work thru the issues in the current build on codeplex to get something stable for my client.

My client really only wants some fixes in the URL tracking and open new window area - which is currently partially fixed in the most recent codeplex build - but is also broken with respect to how PAGE on site  URL's are being rendered.

I am reviewing the scope of this module this week, as I found that some of the items in the current scope may be best left to another future release for various reasons.  So, the release date will be better defined shortly.  That being said, the majority of the existing scope is already complete and regardless to what happens, I am committed to having a release before version 06.00 of DNN is released.
