Hello All,

I got the below error on my local PC and on my live site when I try to add a user to a role with notification.  I did check the security details and retested them and they work.  What else should I be looking at?

DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Mailbox unavailable. The server response was: Verification failed for ---> System.Net.Mail.SmtpFailedRecipientException: Mailbox unavailable. The server response was: Verification failed for at System.Net.Mail.SmtpTransport.SendMail(MailAddress sender, MailAddressCollection recipients, String deliveryNotify, SmtpFailedRecipientException& exception) at System.Net.Mail.SmtpClient.Send(MailMessage message) at DotNetNuke.Services.Mail.Mail.SendEmail(String fromAddress, String senderAddress, String toAddress, String subject, String body) at DotNetNuke.Security.Roles.RoleController.SendNotification(UserInfo objUser, RoleInfo objRole, PortalSettings PortalSettings, UserRoleActions Action) at DotNetNuke.Security.Roles.RoleController.AddUserRole(UserInfo objUser, RoleInfo objRole, PortalSettings PortalSettings, DateTime effDate, DateTime expDate, Int32 userId, Boolean notifyUser) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Security.SecurityRoles.cmdAdd_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e)

Thank you in advance
Rhys

check your SMTP settings in Host settings and make sure, your mail server grants this account to send with the email address of the portal admin.

Hello,

I have checked those settings and they work. The Host eMail address is my personal one and when I create a test mail that eMail sends and I recieve it fine.

for registration and role assignment, not the Host email is used, but the admin email (retrieve admin user selected in Admin :: Site Settings menu items and check his user data in Admin :: Users.)
