Hello.

I have been trying to make DNN 5.5 community version to display european format of date, but i have failed. On user level also i have failed.

Any help on this ?

Thanks

you need to install proper language pack, make it default language for the portal and in the user profile and should get displayed all values properly formatted. If you want it to follow content language, i.e. selected language flag, you need to install Advanced Control Panel (download for free from www.oliverhine.com), which fixed an issue in DNN 5.5.0.

Thanks, it works. After doing what you suggested, i kinda lost all the modules from the menus. But i managed to put them back. I have no idea why that halppenes, apparently because i added the UK language and made it default. I will have to research this further. thanks

Also i see an other problem. Why enable US and GB for example just to have a different date format ? And that adds the selection flags to DNN pages. Doesn't make any sense or i miss something here. If there a way to just display the date in an other format, apart from languages ? Like "14 June 2010" or "June 14, 2010" or something. thanks

you should be able to add en-UK, make it default language in portal settings and in your user profile (all user profiles), before you disable en-US. which should hide the flags
