Hello all,

Newbie here who's looking to set up our corporate Intranet using DotNetNuke.

I must say that the prospect of using DotNetNuke seems fantastic and I can't get over just how customisable it all is!!

I just have one question before I start, which version should I choose? Why should I go for v4.0.3 over 3.2.2 mainly?
Obviously they use different verision of asp.NET but to what advantages? Am I going to be hindered with using v4.0.3 in terms of having to update our companies machines to asp.NET2.0 and in terms of development have to use vs.NET2005? Also in terms of downlaoding existing modules, I'd assume the majority are available for v3.2.2 but will they be compatible with v4.0.3, although I'm sure an influx of modules will soon be available?

I guess I'm basically asking am I better off plumping for v3.2.2 due to the majority of resources being available for that version over v4.0.3?

Any thoughts?

it depends, what you want to do:

Both versions run on ASP.Net 2.0, only DNN 3 supports ASP.Net 1.1

Use DNN 3 to develop modules for DNN 3 and 4

Currently both versions (3.2/4.0) use the same code base, both will be in DNN 3.3 and 4.1. There might be no DNN 3.4 thought.
