in my module setting i had the display on all pages clicked but i cannot get it to display it on admin menu pages

On the Admin-Pages  you only see the pages that you have added, not the modules you added to a page.  A module is part of a page.  On the menues are only pages added not the modules on the pages.

Or did you meen you copied a module to view on all pages ? If this please tell us the DNN version you used and the module incl. version.

"view on all pages" does not apply to admin pages, you may add modules references manually, using "add existing module" from control panel
