We purchased a copy of DigArticle, and it - frankly - is just awful. The user guide is not useful - it's written by programmers for programmers. I needa guide marketing people can use. There are no visual guides about how to do anything. We tried to load the module, and it looks amateurish and is not acceptable for a professional looking marketing site. It's just awful.

Can WordPress be integrated into a DNN website? That would be perfect. WordPress is light years beyond the moduel we purchased as a blogging tool. If there is a similar quality DNN tool - I'd love to hear about it.

I will agree DigArticle's user guide does need updating.  Mike has been busy adding many new features lately and needs to catch up.

In my humble opinion I think you have it backwards with regards to WordPress being light years beyond DNN. DigArticle, Ventrian News Articles, DNNArticle, and many other DNN blog modules are actually news publishing systems and go much farther than just a blog module.  For instance, you say that the module looks amateurish - all of the above mentioned news modules are based on templates - you can make them look however you want them to look.  The fact that they offer many more features may be your issue - maybe you are just looking for a simple blog module and all you want to do is blog.

For just a simple blogging tool I would suggest you check out the core blog module which is free.

Thanks. I appreciate your opinion about the DigArticle's functionality. Can you provide examples of this module on exisiting marketing websites? I would be interesting in "seeing" firsthand how it can look, because the default look is terrible from a marketing perspective. As for finding templates and skins - the interface - again as I see it - makes finding and then applying those a bit of a mystery.

And - we have the functionality we need on other parts of the website. I need a simple, straightforward blog. I need it to be easy to update and simple for participation. The DigArticle module - at least as I see it so far - is anything but on both counts. Again - I'd like to see seme examples.

So far - you can count me in the "not yet convinced" category on the comparison between WordPress and DigArticle. I'm from Missouri. You'll have to "show me." ;>)

Hi,
I'm sorry you had a bad experience with digArticle.  digArticle is a very powerful template driven module.  You can make it look the way you want.   You can find the templates in the Templates/ folder under /DesktopModules/DigArticle.  If you would contact us at support-at-dignuke.com, we would be happy to help you get the results you need.

A couple sample sites:

Mike,

Did you mean to disable the links? None of them seem to be working - except the DNN.

Maybe just provide the organizations' names, and I'll look up the blogs.

Chris
