When I attempt to create a child portal, I get the following message: Message: Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerTimeoutException: The server request timed out.  Tech support suggested I recycle the application pool of the website in IIS and/or restart the IIS Admin service, both of which I did, and neither of which helped.  I still get the same error.

Can anyone offer a solution to this.  My deadline is approaching fast!

Thanks.

Do you get any portals created in the database? What version of DNN are you on? Do you get a directory created in the root of your website's files?

If you are trying to create a child portal using template and experiencing time out issues, try this
- first create child portal using default website template
- import your template via site wizard
