Good Day all,

I am getting an error after beginning the upgrade from 5.5.0 to 5.5.1 on a server running IIS7, Server 2008 R2 and MS SQL Server Express. The site was working fine before but after copying the upgrade onto the site I am getting the following error:

I've seen this before when zone information was still on the files. When you download the upgrade zip please right click it and click "unblock" before copying the files over.

Cathal, thanks for the reply. I just tried that (right clicked the zip file, then properties, security followed by the unlock button near the bottom. Copied and pasted the files over and still get the same result.

Well tried it a little differently. Originally I downloaded the zip file directly to the server, extracted, copied and pasted onto the website then got the error. Tried the unlock as you described and then extracted, copied and pasted onto the site with the same result. This time I downloaded to my local computer, unlocked the zip, then copied the zip to the server, extracted, copied and pasted files onto the site, opened the site, and the upgrade took place with no errors. This is the first time I have run into this so at least now I will do it the same way each time. Thanks, Robert

Good to hear - please note, it often depends on the program used to unzip i.e. the built in windows utility to extract files from a zip I don't recommend using as I've found it stores the zone info and sometimes skips files. FYI when you move files between machines it strips zone file information from them.
