Hello,
I am new to DNN and facing a problem.
I am making changes to an existing DNN site. It has a document library module (XSDocumentLibrary). I use this module to upload some files to the site. I can see the folder structure and the documents uploaded correctly in Windows Explorer on the server.
I am trying to link to these files from another module on my site. This module uses the URLControl of DNN to let the user pick a file. When I choose the option "File (A file on your site)", and open the File Location dropdown, I cannot see the folder I added recently.
I tried logging out and logging back in, clearing cache, etc. I also accessed this site from different machines(so that its a new session); I went to IIS and restarted the web application; but nothing seems to make a difference.

Am I missing something obvious? Please help!

 Thanks!

Is your DocumentLibrary module configured to use the Portal's Root folder? or some other location to store files?

Yes, it is configured to use the portal's root folder.
I do see the newly created folders and files in the root folder (using Windows Explorer).
Also, I am not changing any permissions on the new files/folders from XSDocumentLibrary module. The security settings are "inherited" from the ones that are already visible to me.
Thank you.

make sure. "Auto File Sync" option has been enabled in Host :: Host Settings > Other Settings. This should show up all files, but might fail with newly created/edited/deleted folders
