I've just purchased and installed the professional version of DNN and was hoping someone could tell me the best way to get started on creating my site. I need to create a website that is translated into four different languages, with each language using their own country specific top level domain. My first attempt was to install the language packs I needed and use the Ealo modules for localization. Yet, another requirement for my site is that it needs to have workflow in place which I seem to lose when using the Ealo modules. I want 'content editors' to be able to sign in to one place and have access to all four languages. so.....

Is there a best way to approach this?
Can I assign different IP addresses/domain names to each language using the language packs?
Is there a way to add workflow to the Ealo modules, specifically the HTML module?

I am in a bit of a time crunch so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :)

the main question regarding multiple languages is wether there is a need to combine all in one site (e.g. like Microsoft does) - or provide different sites per language. In the second case you may setup 4 different sites in DNN, each for a specific language with same or different structure, while in the first case you will be able to sync content and switch between different language versions of each page and module - using either EALO, Apollo (www.apollo-software.nl) or DSLocalizatior (dnn.tiendaboliviana.com), however I am not aware, which of those has been tested with DNN Professional. There are also advanced 3rd party ML modules like Nuntio Series from www.dnnwerk.de

The main reason for combining the four languages into one site is that some of our 'content editors' need access to two or more languages. I suppose that they could login to each site, but it seems a bit clunky when you could combine them. I also felt that keeping the sites combined would help maintain the same content across all sties. And from a user perspective I liked that it was easy to switch between the languages. Is it not possible to keep them combined and still have seperate domain names as well as a workflow in place?

the adequate solution definately depends on your use case - if each language is more or less independant, you should use dedicated sites per language, if you have mainly same structure and content, just translated, a single multilingual site is preferable, if you have many structured content (Announcements, Blog, ...) you would even prefer using multilingual modules. All current solutions, I am aware of, are using language parameter in the URL to specify appropriate language, however using a url rewriter (e.g. urlmaster from www.ifinity.com.au) it should be possible to use dedicated domains per language as well.

Yes, the content for the most part would be the same throughout the languages. If I chose to create seperate portals per language, would I still be able to share pages and modules across portals?
