Hey all,
I noticed that there is multiple ways to download the DNN as a website,
the install version
the source version
that one using the starter kit

why when using the statter kit option while installing the DNN website gives me the option to locate the DB.mdf file name under APP_DATA directory when selecting the SQL Server 2005/2008 (EXPRESS) file
while it gives you to selcet the DB server name when you select the SQL Server 2005/2008 Database

what is the difference here or which one is better to use...

my advanced question here is that on my running website using VS when i set the login page from the admin settings to be a new one other than the defualt and rerun the website, this configuration is not set any more so I need to reassure that it is not altred in the DB.mdf file as I've been told, but how..!?!

if you use "Express" connections type using database.mdf in connection string, you don't need to create a blank database yourself and may easily publish the database with your web site, however, you will be unable to access the database with another tool like VS or SQL Server Management Studio.
