You can see from the following screen grab that I am having issues uploading and over writing a file on the server. However this will happen no matter what type of file I try uploading. This also happened in any directory on the site... This is now happening on multiple portals of mine as well as DNN Instances... What typwe of permissions do I need to set on the webserver to allow these type of writes?

Not sure what would have changed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Login as Admin and navigate to Admin>File Manager. 'All Users' should have 'Open' and 'Browse' permissions on your Image directory. Admin or Editors should have 'Open',  'Browse' and 'Write'.

Chris,

I checked those permissions and it is set that Admins have all rights. I am logged in as host and still get this error:

"Image001.png : Cannot write to the target folder!"

This comes up in a pop up window on my browser... I have not had this happen to any sites before.. could this be an issue on the server end... what permissions shoudl I have there?

Thanks for the tips.

The whole wwwroot of DNN should have full RW permissions. Child directories also.

I have FTP'd to the site and I CHMOD'd all of the directories to have read/write permissions. I have checked the permissions for the users fo the site have the correct permissions set via the file manager.

What I find more strange is that only this one portal out of the whole DNN instance is the only one that does not allow for me to creat new folders or upload fiels via the document/image manager. Is there anything else I can check? I am not sure what else to do here. I keep getting a message when trying to creat foldering in the portal root that states:

"Folder cannot be created... the application does not have the correct permissions"

Keep in mind it only does this for this one portal... not the others on the same instance.

Any other ideas?

Thanks.
