If possible, I want my website to monitor it's visitors.
I haven't done anything yet to arrange this, therefor I hope there is a specific way that I can set the website to monitor it's visits by default.

How can I start configurating the website for this?
There's no need to specifically set the conditions, I would be satisfied with the most basic monitoring there is. (Like how many visitors and where do they come from)

Thanks in advance!

you can enable the sitelog in your site settings and get some basic logging details under admin->sitelog. Alternatively many people use the google analytics module and simply add their google analytic ID and then they get rich statistics.

just sign up at http://www.google.com/analytics/ , they'll generate a unique siteid for you, which you then enter into the google analytics module when you install dotnetnuke
