First I wanted to say thanks for the web tutuorials. I'm just starting the video on using DNN and the video is a great help. I was completely lost before the video. Now I'm just in a light fog... ;-)

I've got DNN installed, (By a hosting company) and I can log-in as the admin. Watching the video Chris instructs me to log in as host. I try, but don't know the password, I send the password request via email and in the email it says my password is "*******" Why won't it telll me what the password is when I request it via email.

For security reasons the host account password is never disclosed in plain text in the "Forgot Password?" email. You will most likely have to contact your hosting provider to obtain the host account password. Some very, very low cost hosting providers create multiple portals on the same DotNetNuke install and reserve access to the host account for themselves.

There is also a good chance that if your hosting provider installed DotNetNuke for you, the password for the host account is the same as the admin account and the hosting provider's control panel.
