Hello..

We're currently using a custom module for displaying events and I would like to move to the DNN Events module.

The home page needs to display a small calendar of the events with the dates that have events, highlighted. I have an events module configured for the small look added to a small widgets left column on the home page and I have the subcalendars settings pointing to the main events page. So that works.

But, for the small calendar on the home page, it actually shows a link with the full event name and will display the detailed event information in the left side widget panel. How do I change this so that it just highlights the date that there's event information for that date and when clicked links to the full events page and show the detailed event information.

Thanks.. -Jeff

Hi Jeff,

In Month View settings untick 'Enable Month View Cell Events'. This will then display the number of events on a day. The template for that text can be edited in the templates section. Clicking the link will take you to a Day View page.

I would suggest since you are using a small calendar that you also tick Event Day New Page in the Month View Settings. This will open the Day View in an empty new page.

You may want the specific event to open into Detail View when you click they text on your small event calendar. Currently this is unsupported, since you can have multiple events per day and you can't then specify which one to open. There is however a request in to link to the Detail View if there is only one event on the day which will probably get implemented in version 5.2.0 (which will be out next year sometime).

Cheers
Roger

Hello Roger..

Thank you for the reply..  That works..

Is there a way to change this day view so that the title link shows the details view in this same page?  Currently, if I click on the title link, it'll go back to the home page and display the details information in the left side widget panel of the skin which doesn't work.  If I could have the details view stay in this newly opened page, I greatly appreciate that.

I looked at the template settings and the four (4) Day View settings has nothing concerning the title link.

Thanks.. -Jeff

Event Detail New page in Detail View settings sia what you need I think.

It might be worth you having a scan of the settings documentation detailed here - http://dnnevents.codeplex.com/wikipag...
