Hi all,

I am using latest Dotnetnuke Blog module and I have a problem that blog content is not indexed by core DNN search, so in the search resutt is not the blog posts but only content from the rest of the portal. I check in extension admin if blog module support ISearchable interface and it looks that yes. I also delete the indexed content using these commands:

delete {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}SearchItemWordPosition
delete {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}SearchItemWord
delete {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}SearchWord
delete {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}SearchItem
And next I re-index content from search admin but nothing hapens. The blog content is still excluded from the search result (when I look into the db, the blog content is really not indexed).

I am using DNN 05.05.01 and Blog module 04.00.00. I have the same problem at three different portals...
The searching using "search blog" module is working correctly but I need only one search for whole portal. The rest of the used modules (Events, Forms and list, UltraNewsArticle, Simple gallery, HTML, Announcements) are indexed correctly and their content is displayed in the search result.

Any idea? Thx for any help.

please review "Searcheable" option for the Blog module setting in Host :: Module Definitions to be enabled. you should be able to modify on localhost or via SQL.

Hi Sebastian Leupold,

thank you very much for reply. I have checked this option like a first and as I wrote above the blog module has checked to be searcheable:

"je prohledávatelný" is "searcheable" in our language (czech).

Maybe is the problem that we are using only one enabled language? (we have enabled only Czech language, because portal is targeted only for Czech speaking visitors). I really do not know...

Thank you for any help or idea.

Search SHOULD work even with one langauge being enabled only (even in the U.S. ;) ) Note: there might be issues indexing words with special (non-ASCII) characters. Please check SearchItemWord table in the database, whether it contains words from your blog module content.

Sorry I was wrong formulated. Of course that DNN search should work with only one language enabled, I though that problem should be with some special characters which is not in default used language as you mentioned above, but I test it with fresh new installation with default EN language installed and the search is also not wokring well. Blog content is not indexed and SearchItemWord table contains no word from blog posts. I really do not know what I am doing wrong. In events is nothing strange. The Blog module has value 7 in column SupportedFeatures in table DesktopModules. The search schedule is running correctly each time... Thank you very much for any help
