I am upgrading a site from 05.01.04 (3) to 5.5.1 and curious the steps needed.

1. I have backup of the inetpub folder.
2. I have backup of the database.

What are the steps to update?
Do I simply extract the files over the old files and run the site?
What does this look like and are there concerns I need to think about?

Thank you for any help you can provide.

please read here: http://www.deutschnetnuke.de/tabid/186/Default.aspx in Short: stop your site, overwrite existing files from the upgrade package, start your site and browse to the home page.
