Hi,

I have the forums and blogs setup using dotnetnuke. But, I have developed my own email and have a different logon process for the whole application. Once the user logs into my website, I want to automatically login into dotnetnuke to use everything. How do I acheive this?

Also, maybe it is a good idea for dotnetnuke to have a email module also. I can help if needed.

Thanks,
Sudha

DNN has a newsletter module and you can purchase an email one. There is also a free one you can read about in the Announce It Forum.

You can use a webserive to authenticate if you wish, but that is your only option right now that I can see.

Thank you.

Which or what method/function should I call of the forums/blog module to bypass the login? Or, how do I pass the username and password to the login code? Which method or function do I need to call?

Thanks.

Its not the module's authentication you are surpassing, it is that of the core. Currently, I believe this is UserLogin in Security.vb.
