Hi, just moved our site to a new hosting provider (by copying files, rather than fresh install of DNN).

Our site is basically working but I am getting 'cannot save resource file  permissions type errors' in some instances when editting options logged in as admin/host.

Can someone give me a heads up on which folders in a typical install need to have read and write access in terms of folder secuity options.

Thanks in advance.

whilst you can apply write permissions to particular folders only (e.g. root, bin, portals, desktopmodules), most people apply read, write, modify permission from the root folder on down.

@spapro,

you should ask you Host to reset the permissions for you, that will fix the problem for all Folders/Files.
