I need to set up a new web site and I am trying to install it into IIS7 using the Web Application Installer.

The installer fails indicating that either the file doesn't exist or there's a signature problem.

Is it possible to edit the gallery to look for a different file??

Any advice would be useful

I have never had great success with the Web Platform Installer for DNN. I always use one of the methods I have blogged about; the semi-automatic and the manual method  are no fail favorites.

I'm having problems with the Web Platform Installer 4.0. I manually installed all the pre-requisite Microsoft components so the only item left checked was DNN. The file downloaded (I did this manually, too), but the install just hangs. Task Manager shows no CPU consumption and no other signs of activity.

I disabled Norton Internet Security, rebooted several times with no success.

The links just go to the blog site, not to the installation methods. I have unzipped the Install file, but don't know what to do next.

Can you please provide a link to the particular installation instructions on your blog?
Thanks,
Rigel

Make sure your PC/server meets the minimun requirements for 7.x:

If not, you'll need to install a 6.2.5 version. If the installer doesn't give you the option to go back to that version, get the install files from codeplex.
