Greetings,

My DNN app runs under another domain. Out of a couple hundred users, I seem to have only one who is generating this cookie. Now, on random pages in the "master" domain that require Active Directory authentication, she's crashing the the pages with the "potentially dangerous Request.cookies" error.

Is there a way to stop her from generating the cookie? Some checkbox she needs to uncheck? She shouldn't have to delete her cookies every time she logs into DNN...

Thanks!

The personalization was most likely a specific module that is writing information to a cookie.  Can you see the value of the cookie.

Well, of course I've cleared the cookies now... The cookie reads something like this:
DNNPersonalization="<profile><item key=...
and it gave a numerical "user access level" or something similar and included something about being in edit mode. Sorry to be so vague - next time it pops up I'll grab the specific info.

Thanks for the reply.

Here's what the cookie looks like:
DNNPersonalization Value=<profile><item key="Usability:ControlPanelVisible14" type="System.String, mscorlib, version=2.0.0.0, culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken-b77a5c561934e089"><string>False</string></item></profile>

Maybe I should tell all of my users not to hide the Control Panel!

I am getting this same Dangerous cookie error on occasion. The the error says to turn off RequestValidation=false as a directive. I'm wondering if the cookie is dangerous because it looks like a web.config entry and if it is related to the visibility of the Control Panel then it is likely set and read by the dnn core .. I think it is bug since it can affect other non DNN sites.
