Funny this forum seems to be working fine...

Upgraded to DNN 5.5.1.  Bugs worked out with HTML, skins, tabs (pages) data corrupted, and happy as a clam.  User calls and says Forums is non-functional.  He's right.  Tried 'repairing', then went to a clean module install and start-over.  All seemed great until all of a sudden the entire look-and-feel changed and it turned to mud as I watched.  I suspect my db tables are shaky.  Haven't a clue where to look or where to start.  Any help appreciated.

The more I look the db tables look like only the new data (that I can recognize).  The Forums folder has more old 2008 files than new files, however.

I would have thought this would all be new.  Can I manually delete and just re-load the module thru host?

This has been the upgrade from hell...  The help so far has been great...

By any chance is your client on Forums 4.6 that ships with DNN?
If so, for DNN 5.4.1 and above they need to move to the latest Forum's release found here:

They were.  Today I upgraded to 5.0.0 with no luck.  Then I uninstalled Forums via dnn host, then reinstalled 5.0.0 again.  I was rebuilding the forums by hand when it all of a sudden 'reverted' to trash, looking like the old version on bad drugs.

My data tables "look OK".  I noticed many, many old (circa 2008) files in the Forum Module's folder...  Could be a clue to somebody smarter than me...

There is a new YAF forums module, you may want to try (see http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/112/threadid/395642/scope/posts/Default.aspx)
