I am doing my graduation thesis and my topic is building an e-learning portal using DotNetNuke. I have just completed this project. Now, I need to copy this project to my instructor's computer.

I copied my DotNetNuke folder and the database file (.bak) to his computer and configure IIS, SQL....

The point is that when I access the localhost, it just displays the Installation Wizard instead of my website.

Is there any way I can fix this? Please help me, the deadline is coming soon. Thanks in advance.

Usually this is an indication that the site cannot connect to its database. If you are using SQL server authentication test if you can connect to the restored database with SQL Server Management Studio using the same credentials. If you can connect then check that both connection strings in web.config have been modified correctly for the new database connection.

Also if the site url is different you will need to add it as a new portal alias.
