There is a Data Provider here http://www.devart.com/dotconnect/postgresql/ Is it possible to use that with DNN?

no, DNN does not use a mapping data provider, but individual code to create tables, views, functions and stored procedures, i.e. every script needs to be adopted. This allows for greatest flexibility, but requires more effort to create and maintain providers - the main reason, that there aren't many.

Ali , I think you need to be more specific what your goal is.
Is it to replace the MS SQL database or is it to add a new module to do something new?

If it is to add something new as a module I think you can use the provider.
