Hi,

One more thing I noticed.

The email that has is sent from the store with the billing and shipping address does not contain the region, It has the Address, city, postal code, and country, but region is omitted.

Thanks!

Jonathan

Hi,

Thanks I will look at this ASAP! :-)

Did you found an alert in your website Event Viewer? If you can't found a 'Store Alert' message, it's probably because your website is not responding quickly. In this case PayPal retry several times but you can't define any parameters about the speed nor when PayPal retry.
As a sample, I received today an IPN from a test order payed 8 days before! :-(

We (team members) are Humans offering their knowledge, their work and their spare time FOR FREE to benefit the community. It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

Hi Again,

I just did an  order and saw where the paypal sent the IPN back to my site in the IIS Log, but  there were no errors logged in the event viewer.

I'm pretty sure my site responds pretty quick. I didn't have any slowness issues when I used the current stable release with timing.

Do you have a direct email I could use to contact you.  I could send more information in the IPN, etc, just don't need all the info in the public. ;-)

Thanks!

Jonathan

Hi Jonathan,

The Shipping price is listed as Handling because an old bug of PayPal. Normaly, the PayPal technical documentation (Table 4) specify than the shipping price can be transmited using the 'shipping' variable. As you can read it in the PayPal forum, this do not work from at least 4 years!

Thanks for the help Gilles!

We have figured out that it was an SSL issue.  I had the setting SSL Enforced? under site settings enabled.  That would not allow the PayPal IPN to talk to store module properly.  With that setting turned on, if you tried to go to a page using SSL that didn't have it configured in the page settings it would redirect you back to using non SSL page, PayPal wants to use SSL and it wasn't working correctly.

Again thank you Gilles for helping figure this out!

Jonathan
