Hi all,

It;s been a while and I have just started up another site. The last time I did an install of DNN it was Version 3.x So now I have a clean install of version 5.x I was wondering where the HTML module is? I notice it's not a core module andI can't find it in the projects list. Has it been replaced by something?

Thanks.

Not sure where you are "looking" - in the drop down modules it's now called just "HTML" module, previously it was the Text/HTML module.

Where are you looking? What version of DNN?

Paul.

I have been "looking" in the modules section first. then looked in the Resources -> Project Downloads on DNN. There is no HTML module listed on my install of DNN 05.06.00 Community Edition.

Thanks

The HTML module is not available as a separate download since it is part of the DotNetNuke core and always gets installed along with the framework.

Did you notice any errors during the install of 5.06.00? Is your home page already populated with the typical welcome to DotNetNuke content? If not, it is possible that the module failed to install.

If you are able to log in to the newly created site as host user, check the Admin --> Event Viewer for errors that were logged. Also check the Host --> Extensions page to see if the HTML module is listed there.

I have looked in the logs but don't see anything for the failed install for the modules. However as the hosting company installed it there is no saying they didn't delete the log files. Also the main page was blank, no modules shown, nothing. This leads me to belive that the hosting company did a bad install. Also HTML is not listed in the Module extentions section.

If I make a copy of the web.config file and then remove all the files. Then re-download the install files for DNN and unblock and extract them again. Then overwrite the web.config file with the one I backed up. I should just be able to re-install myself? Or will I have to delete the current database and re-create it again?

The site contains nothing
