We just released a free version of our DotNetNuke firewall PortalKeeper.

V2 was a complete rewrite and introduces a powerful, flexible and extensible rule engine, based on condition and action providers.

The free version comes with a fixed set of rules:

• Anti-DoS Protection: Protect your site from conventional or distributed Denial of Service attacks. Monitor requests rates by client sources and arrival time windows, keep track of attackers in order to deny their subsequent requests within a few micro seconds, while you continue serving legitimate user.
• Critical Accounts Protection: Prevent power user accounts to sign in from untrusted locations
• Simultaneous Connections Detection: Warn users when their account is logged in simultaneously from 2 different locations
• Redirect Mobile Devices: Detect mobile clients and keep them within a dedicated set of mobile pages
• Super User Back-door: Define a secret url, which automatically logs you as a Host user from a set of known IP addresses (ideal for repetitive maintenance tasks)
• Geographically Limited Registration: Restrict user registration to a particular country (for instance because of legal issues)
• Warn IE 6 Users: Display a message to Internet Explorer 6 users to warn them for possible UX issues

Also available for free is a Custom Errors configurator with an advanced virtual mode, though the later best works on older DNN versions because of recent modifications to the core.

The full version lets you define unlimited custom rules leveraging the default providers or additional custom providers of your own.
