Hello, I run out of ideas....

We have our in-house web site running on win2003/sql2005/iis6 (I think it is 5.5.1 but I don't think it does matter....)
The new server is sbs2008/sql2005express/iis7 (NOT SQL 2005 server -  we just have DNN!!!!)

I have done the following:
1. backup old database
2. copy dnn directory + set rights
3. recover database
4. Result: This site is currently unavailable Please check back later

There is a lot of information that this is a connection string issue: OK - next step:
1. download dnn 5.6 and install
2. done in 10 min!!!

So, this is NO server 2008 set-up issue.... Next try - connect my old dnn installation to a fresh database
1. go to directory /install/install.aspx - with errors but the DNN site is UP
2. recover old DNN database
3. Result: This site is currently unavailable Please check back later
4. call /install/install.aspx - Result: upgrade error could not connect to the database specified in the connection string

I think the problem is the recovery process of the database - any ideas how to fix this?
