Currently, using DNN 5.0, if i permission a page to be only available to a certain role, the page still appears in the menu, but if you don't have permssions you get a "can't view page" type of message displaying when you click that page.

However, we want it so the page doesn't show in the menu AT ALL if you're not permissioned for it.

Can anyone help?  Thanks.

That must be a bug in 5.0, as that is not how any version of DNN (5+ or <5) has ever worked in my experience. Are you using a custom menu by chance?

LOL... well there you go, the skin is custom for sure. can you explain the default behaviour of DNN 5.0 then for a permissioned page? I will show this to the developer that created the skin.

We are using a custom menu developed to look like our corporate website.  is default behaviour for a page to 'disappear' from the menu for a user if they are not permissioned to see that page?

Correct, if a page does not have View permissions for the user they dont see it.
