a clean installation      (win2k3, sql  2005, dotnet 3.5 sp1)
  donetnuke 5.6
  the event is 5.1.5

make a page , and install  the module into the new page,
it shows a crash page once  the "add event "  is clicked

DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Modules.Events.EditEvents.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

I am new to the dotnetnuke, try to make a site  with the event module , but can not get it

Is there any body  who can help me out ?

thanks.

When you installed Events 5.1.5, were there any errors on the install screen - i.e. did you scroll all the way to the bottom and confirm there were no errors?

One thing you can try, is re-installing the module, and since it is your first time, uninstall it and then re-install.

If that doesn't help, come back to us. I'm likely to suggest putting the debug DLLs on your site, so we can identify where the issue is. I've not seen this issue before, so we may need to tie it down a bit further.

Cheers
Roger

ok, finally I got one working.

before, I downloaded the module from www.dotnetnuke.com  and install the module by  Host->extensions->install extension wizard....

Now , I do this way ,     make another clean install of dotnetnuke,  and install the event  by  Host->extensions-> install available extension.

thank you for your reply.
