I switched IIS DefaultAppPool to NET 4.0 and my project to 3.5.  When I start VS I am receiving the following message every time I open the project.

Configuring Web http://localhost/DNNDev/DesktopModules/Test ASP.NET 4.0 failed.  You must manually configure the site for ASP.NET 4.0 in order for the site to run correctly.

Then I get:

The Web http://localhost/DNNDev/DesktopModules/Test is currently configured for use with ASP.NET 4.0.  Web project Test is targeting ASP.NET 2.0; if not configued some features may make incorrect assumptions, and pages designed with the tool may not render correctly.

Would you like the site to be configured for use with ASP.NET 2.0?

if you develop targeting .Net 3.5 SP1, I'd run the test site with asp.net 3.5 (which is an extension to asp.net 2.0, i.e. the pool just displays setting ASP.Net 2.0

That explains the messages and why I don't see the full complement of files in the MS 3.5 .NET folder. Thanks.
