Hi.

I have a DNN site that I need to convert to raw asp.net.
Is there any way that I can keep the users ?
I can't seem to figure out how to login, using the existing aspnet_* tables.

aspnet tables are created and maintained by Microsoft membership component, which might be used in other ASP.Net applications as well.

Hi Sebastian.

Thx for your reply.
I have tried to create a new site, with forms auth and using the standard providers.
Then I changed the connectionstring to point to the DNN database. That didn't work.
I've tried copying most settings from the DNN web.config but have no luck.
I guess I don't know enough about the innerworkings of asp.net auth.

Happy Christmas.

Hi.

I should close this !!

I managed to do it :

1. Created the new site with matching provider settings, except a new ApplicationName

2. That created a new application instance in aspnet_Applications

3. I copied the new application id to all the users (in aspnet_users and that's it.

4. I can login to all the users from the new application.

Cheers / Jesper
