Hi guys,

Another day, another experiment... I must be annoying you by now :(

Anyway, so I think I've finally settled on a third party ASP.NET control that will give me the functionality I require.  Unsurprisingly, I'm still having issues.
The control I've settled on is the DevExpress ASPxPivotGrid.  I have created a web user control to house the control in DesktopModules.  I made it inherit from DotNetNuke.Entities.Modules.PortalModuleBase, then installed it within DotNetNuke, then added it as a module to one of the pages.  When I run the program using the ASP .NET development server, the control displays as I expect.  However, manually navigating to the site gives me the following error:
A critical error has occurred.
Couldn't connect to the Analysis Services.

I can't debug it (via Attach to process) to see what the issue might be.  I'm assuming that Cassini has a looser policy in terms of permissions than IIS, and thus it allows communication to the Analysis Services server.  Is there something I should be doing in IIS, or in my web.config to get it to work?  I'm using IIS 5.1 (Windows XP).

Cheers,
Norman

Hi,
You need pdb files if you want to debug your third party module or the dnn module. If you have created your own source code on top of a release version of dnn that is possible too. You need to make sure you can connect to the correct process in the debugger and you must have pdb files in your bin. Also make sure you run 'debug' mode in VS.
J.
