I have not changed anything and it was working fine until 2-3 days. Now suddenly the no one can login. If edit the web.config file it starts working for a while and then it starts logging out everybody. Password retreival fail and login fails too.

Any idea what's happening and what I should try?

Thanks for your time and help.

id suggest that you run a http proxy such as fiddler, this will help you determine when your forms auth cookie disappears and perhaps help to determine what it causing this.

I'm running a test site of DNN 5.6.0, and it too keeps logging me out. I don't have time just now to try to trouble-shoot this, and am wondering if anyone has figured out what's causing the issue?

I discovered that the problem, in my case, was with the app pool settings. Tweaking the settings solved the problem.
