Hi,

I am working an a new application in DNN.  This application receives customer data from a backoffice application (import with SSIS).  During the import the SSIS creates a user role for every customer group (+/- 200 roles).

Using the Forns And List I would like to create a list of items, but not all items can be viewed by all roles.  This means that when I add an item I should be able to select the roles that can view this item.

Any help would be very appreciated!

Thanks!

BigTim

you would need an "isInRole('xy')" filter option, but unfortunately this is not provided by FnL. You might want to consider using a different module, e.g. SQLGridSelectedView from www.tressleworks.ca.

Sebastian is wrong, you can test for a role since UDT3.3.x in XSLT with
<xsl:if test="contains(/udt:UserDefinedTable/udt:Context/udt:UserRoles,'|nameofarole|' ">...</xsl:if>

This feature was hidden in the Avanced XSLT section of the user guide(p43), I should have added a hint  in a chapter for non XSLT gurus.
Sorry guys
