Hi team,
We're looking at using the Store module for our website, but need to be able to process gift vouchers. Is this possible with the Store module?

If it's not already built in, I can see a way to implement it would be to process/validate the voucher outside the store module, and then programatically add a voucher product (with a negative price?) to the current user's basket.

To this end, is it possible to programatically access the Store API? If someone could point me to the documentation for this, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks a lot,

James

Hi Team,

I like the idea that James proposes. I have been investigating how to allow the user to enter a "discount code" to get a reduction in price. The problem seems very similar except that I would want a valid start and end date.

Thanks.

Don

Hi James,

This features is not available currently in the Store module, I will add it to my loooonnngggg to do list! :-) You can add a product to the cart using the static class DotNetNuke.Store.Cart.CurrentCart class. Simply call CurrentCart.AddItem method.

We (team members) are Humans offering their knowledge, their work and their spare time FOR FREE to benefit the community. It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.
