What about your settings in IIS. What are the URLs you are using for each website? Do you have the IIS bindings setup correctly?

Single IP address, 3 websites.  Each website has its own domain name entered into the header.  Frist DNN installation has its domain name, and runs as a stand-alone.  The second installation runs in a virtual directory of another website - like 'www.domainname.com/dnn2/".  This website runs simple HTML/ASP/.Net 1.0 stuff.  The ../dnn2/ virtual directory runs on DNN + .NET 2.0 in a separate application pool.

The thing is -- either DNN installation work fine without the other one running.  After restart, whichever installation gets hit first it will start running, but then it's killing the other one.  As I said, after removing the virtual directory DNN installation, the other one runs fine.

I did some moving around, and re-configured the installation to use a unique URL... seems to be working now - I have no explanation for this problem, I'm just glad it's gone. Thanks!
