Thank you for taking the time to answer my question.

I followed your advice and went into the:

Portals/_default/Skins/MinimalExtropy/images

folder, where I found certain files like

bot_left.png
bot_right.png
center_bg.png
body_bg.png
bread_left.png
bread_right.png

and same files in the "ie" subfolders. I open then all in the Paint and replaced the blue color with white. So far so good. It replaced the blue on the corners as you can see on the website now, which is a good start, but it still keep the core of the content gradient white to blue. Which I assume is not made by a picture but rather programmatically. Can you please give me a hint where to look at? I looked all the other GIF's and JPG's available but could not find anything usable.
The Firebug seems to be a nice tool, though for me it is like looking into the space - I'm just not an expert in all this :)
