After seeing the CodeMash recordings I've been testing WebMatrix and the 5.6.1 installation. I've upgraded the installation that WebMatrix is downloading just now, the 5.6.0, to the 5.6.1 RC.

After the upgrade, when I've tried to install the RazorHost module, an error without description raised. After some investigation, I discovered that WebMatrix is configuring the application pool as .NET 2 (Integrated) as default. If you change the application pool to .NET 4 the installation of the module works perfectly.

Hope this helps.

I've wrote a post about this in my blog if you want to know the details. http://davidjrh.blogspot.com

My DNN instance was upgraded to ASP.NET 4.0 but after installing the host razorengine module, my site crashed. Here's the solution that worked for me:

When I installed the RazorEngine module I received an error stating couldn't load 'System.Web.WebPages.Deployment'. After reading an unrelated blog post about Razor installation I decided to  install MVC 3 on my machine. I then found the System.Web.WebPages.Deployment dll in the following location (Windows 7 - C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft ASP.NET\ASP.NET Web Pages\v1.0\Assemblies). After placing the dll in the bin folder of my site, my site was back up and running.

Hope it helps...

Thanks .. simple answer to rather sparse "Error Loading" message when attempting to load Razor Host.

In Web Matrix, you can change the application pool under the settings tab.

Paul.
