DNN 5.4.4.

I get the following error when clicking on the plus to add a new event to the calendar.  Anyone know why?

Hi Greg,

Can you provide any more info, e.g. what version of Events you are using? Also have you done a Google search on this, since the error looks to be in the DNN framework loading of the module rather than in the Events module itself (i.e. there is no mention of Events in the error).

I'll try to investigate further this evening (UK time).

That's about all I can tell you.  Looking in the Assemblies table, the events module is version 5.0.3.  Like I said before, this is DNN 5.4.4 version installed.

Google turns up nothing and the forums turn up nothing.

I did a quick Google on 'DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: System.Web.UI.HtmlControls.HtmlTableCellCollection must have items of type 'System.Web.UI.HtmlControls.HtmlTableCell'.'

The search came up with this - http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/F...

Looks like the solution is that there is a missing " in EditEvents.ascx, or upgrade to a later release for which I would recommend 5.1.5.

A missing quote seemed to be the culprit.  I've had major issues upgrading higher than 5.4.4 so I am holding off on that part - mainly with the events not showing up at all on the calendar.

Here was the issue:

For the EditEvents.ascx in Events 5.00.03 the missing closing quote at the end of the style attribute value (line 246) is likely the cause:

<tr>
   <td class="SubHead" valign="top" style="width:160px;>
         <dnn:Label ID="lblNotifyEmailMessage" runat="server"></dnn:Label>
   </td>

although there is also a colspan attribute with no quotes around the value at line 147 and several input elements that are not closed.
