Sorry no I haven't. I've been having problems with R2 on the system I've been using as a server. For some strange reason it decides to lock up the PDC completely whenever it's accessed over the network (i.e GPO is applied). My plan going into the weekend was do setup the server as the PDC and then use Hyper-V to setup the web server. I swapped out the NIC last night to see if that makes a difference and am giving it a couple of days to see if the problem goes away. So, hopefully I'll be able to complete the setup this weekend.

I'm getting the same error message.  However my situation may be a little different.  It's on a server with Windows Server 2003 that can contact the domain but is not on the domain.  On my other test server that is on the domain I got this to work just fine, so maybe that's the issue?  This server is off the domain for security reasons.

I'm using version 5.0.2 of the AD module, IIS6 and dotnetnuke version 5.6.0.  Thanks in advance for any advice.

xoltri, your problem is because the server isn't on the domain. Have you tried impersonation on it? Though from my experience you can't set up the proper directory permissions because the server isn't on the domain.

The server is on the same domain and a member of it.  Currently we have DotNetNuke installed on this server in a separate database but that is version 4.9 and it works fine with Active Directory.  We are creating a new site in the newest build of DotNetNuke which is installed in a separate database but on the save server and this is where we have the problems.  Any other ideas why it works on one install and not the other?  I  changed the web.config file to the same and all settings are the same.

Thanks.

I understand that Keith. My last reply was to xoltri. I'm closer to getting everything up and running on my setup at home. I just have to setup a DNN install and add the provider. I should be able to do that tomorrow night. I take it that the two links I posted above (in my second post) didn't do anything for you.
