Hi,

I am new to DotNetNuke. I have design which i want to implement in DotNetNuke

http://arthinfosoft.in/ORIGIN-Kebab/O...

My Questions is
1) Is it possible to implement design in DotNetNuke
2) Can we have menus in circular arc in DotNetNuke or we need horizontal / vertical menu only

Please let me know.

Thanks
Amit

sure, you need to create an appropriate Skin and containers.

1. with regard to the layout itself - this should not pose a problem - dnn's skinning system is very functional.

2. with regard to the menu bar across the top ... there are a couple of things you need to consider.

the power of the standard dnn menu system is that it is dynamically generated on the fly based on information regarding the pages on your site.
that means all the text displayed on the menu is created on the fly.
if you want to take advantage of this dynamic system then your curved menu will not work out of the box.

One of the issues relates to html text rotation being a work in progress for the most part - there are different standards that declare how it works and getting the default dnn nav provider to rotate text is not a real option.

It could be possible to build a menu provider that could render the text along a curve possibly - but im not aware of any that currently do this.

Having said this - if you are not planning on needing the menu system to be dynamically generated then you could build your menu elements as an image map or hover buttons and hard code the menu urls - which would give the look you are heading for - or alternatively look at a flash menu option.
