Im trying to setup a new DNN site using the latest version, 05.06.01. I have tried on two different hosting companies and i get same error on both.
One of the hosters use Windows Server 2003, IIS 6 and MsSQL 2005, the other got Windows Server 2008, IIS 7.5 and MsSQL 2008.

I create a MsSQL Database, upload the files and visit the site.
The Installationen Wizard kicks in and permission test is OK, then i fill out the database details and click next, then i get this error:

Failure installing Database Scripts

Installing Database - Version 05.00.00...FAILURE null - null

I have tried several times, with different databases so i know the information is correct.

If i revisit the site it starts in some kind of update mode, and the databases is updated with no error.
But then i get an incomplete installation with no aliases or users, and i have to start over again...

Do anyone know what causes this and how to solve it?

I have now tried a third hosting company and i get the same error.

I create a MsSQL 2008 database and upload the files.
I surf to the site and the Installation Wizard starts, i choose custom. Permissions is all OK.
I enter the database details and press next, it loads a few seconds then i get this error:

Failure installing Database Scripts

Installing Database - Version 05.00.00...FAILURE null - null

Is no one else having this problem? It would be awesome to solve this issue!

did you create a blank database? did you select classic or express connection type?
