I like them both BUT...

3essentials.com is a bit stingy with their domains... Other than that looks good.

PowerDNN.com appears to only offer DNN installs (also stingy with the number of domains)

I would also suggest that you take a look at DNN4Less.com. Since placing one client's DNN site with them last fall (Silver plan) and this past month setting up a reseller package with them (RS75), I have been pleased with both their server's performance and their support (phone, email and ticket system). I am in the process of gradually migrating 9 DNN sites hosted elsewhere to my reseller account at DNN4Less. I especially like their migration support - just FTP a backup of the existing site files to a new account/domain on the DNN4Less servers and place a backup of the existing site database in the new accounts App_Data folder, create a new empty database (but not database user), and let the DNN4Less support know that you are ready for them to complete the migration. Within an hour, the database has been restored, a new database user and credentials created, and the web.config connection strings modifed by DNN4Less support. As soon as you've repointed the domain to the DNN4Less nameservers and the change propagation across the internet, the site is back up.

They also seem pretty good but I need a host that will also support non-DNN sites...

I will look into this one a bit further, maybe they do.

Best dog I have ever had. Mine will catch impossible freesbie throws... Awesome dog.

I am using RackSpace Cloud for my web sites, both regular ASP.NET applications and DNN sites. With the exception of my SSL issue (causes host pages to crash when SSL enabled), it all works very well.

PowerDNN and others offer a wide range of hosting packages that directly support DNN.

Regular and DNN Hosting
MS SQL
Email
ASP.Net
100% uptime

are all pretty generic requirements.

However, the one requirement that you are not going to find that often - are hosts that will throw in unlimited domains at no extra cost.

PowerDNN does offer plans that DO allow unlimited domains on a SINGLE DNN portal  -  these domains all run off one DNN portal with a single ROOT folder set and utilize DNN to manage the domain routing for each domain.

l but if you want unlimited domains - meaning unlimited seperate regular sites with their own hosting then - not so easy to find.
To be honest though I guess it comes down to costs - basically PowerDNN works out a 20 PER Hosting point.
Bet that a single DNN hosting or a single regular website

The difference being - that if you are comfortable with multiple domins sharing the same DNN hosting - you can add
an unlimited number of domains to that single portal - with each running their own web site.

Are these your own web sites - or sites you host for other people - do they require access to their own backend.

Oh and you can host any sort of site on powerdnn - regular or DNN - they are running Plesk as their site admin layer
 - and just install DNN by default - you can delete it and run an asp or php or just plain old html in each hosting if you choose.
